BUMMIRAS

FULL GRAIN / FULL ANILINE

Genuine top-grain leather, grade A — selected from hides with the fewest natural scars and marks.

A premium grade that keeps the natural grain and pores visible: it breathes well and feels soft. Used where the authentic surface of real leather is the point, including full-grain variants with natural texture and oil pull-up effects.

NUBUCK LEATHER

Nubuck shares the natural properties of oil leather but is made differently: oil leather is oiled to create pull-up effects, while nubuck has its surface lightly sanded for a softer look. Natural marks remain visible — that is its character — and it darkens and gains patina over years of use. It resembles suede yet is far more durable, because it is still full-grain leather.

PULL UP OIL LEATHER

Oil leather is genuine leather with a natural character and visible pull-up effects: colour and surface vary naturally, and the leather shows its depth when handled or flexed. With long use its sheen gradually softens.

FAKE OIL LEATHER (SPRAY-FINISHED)

Genuine leather finished to imitate oil leather by spraying rather than traditional oiling. More chemicals are used to remove or cover natural marks — suited to customers who prefer a uniform surface without visible natural markings.

CORRECTED GRAIN

Genuine cowhide with an embossed grain, made from belly/split or the lowest layer of the hide. A lower grade that uses embossing to imitate natural texture and the most chemicals for an opaque colour; limited breathability and no visible pores. The most economical option for durability on a budget.
